African Methodist Episcopal Church

Welcome to Historic Jones Tabernacle African Methodist Episcopal Church! We are glad to you visited our website today! We are believers in Jesus Christ, spreading the Good News, worshiping, teaching, growing, caring, sharing, cultivating Christian lifestyles, promoting justice, ministering to the needy, the oppressed and physically challenged, and people of all ages and nationalities, locally, with a focus on expanded outreach. We do this because we are led by the Holy Spirit and taught by Scriptures to obey the Great Commission: "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy.

I extend an invitation to join our worship services. It is our goal that every visitor feel included and loved as part of the family of God. We have ministries to help individuals build relationships, feel a sense of belonging, and create a community pleasing to God.

Whether you are married or single, young or old, all of us find our purpose in life and our connection with each other in the wonderful fact that God loves us. God does have an exciting plan for our lives and we are here to help you discover that plan, and to follow His will. As you take a look around, you will notice many friendly faces, and also see people who love Jesus Christ and have committed their lives to serving Him. Our church is committed to serving you and welcoming you into our family.

We hope to see you soon. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. Know that we are here for you!

Yours in Christ,
Rev. Dr. Stanley Hearst, II.
